My Best Advice For Thanksgiving 2020
As I mentioned before, on Tuesday I did a live (virtual) event with Knowable (the company that just launched my audiocourse, How To Eat Now) about Thanksgiving 2020. For those of you who were able to make it, thanks for joining! For everyone else, we recorded and posted it here so you can watch it anytime, if you're interested. We talked about my best advice for Thanksgiving cooks (keep it simple!), options for alternative (non-turkey) Thanksgivings, my favorite part about this particular meal (fall vegetables), the most stressful part of Thanksgiving for me, how to navigate the holiday in 2020, and a lot more. We also talked with Saru Jayaraman, President of One Fair Wage, who spoke about the toll that this pandemic is taking on restaurant workers, which may be just the dose of perspective that a lot of us need right now, especially when we're thinking about what to be thankful for.
Anyway, I think it was a fun and hopefully useful conversation. It's technically a video, but the visuals (mostly me sitting in my house with big headphones on) are not particularly essential, so you can just put it on in the background and listen to it like a podcast. See you Tuesday.
