I have the same dehydrator and I make fruit leather frequently exactly as you describe except I've never steamed it prior, I just puree it in the blender. What is the benefit of steaming first? Is it just for sterilization? Is that considered necessary? I've never had a problem with using raw fruit, just like I don't sterilize dried fruit slices when I make them.
I'm curious why you use parchment paper. Do you leave it on when you roll up the leather?
What a ridiculous post. Why aren’t you posting a recipe for making fruit leather WITHOUT an accessory appliance? Most people reading this newsletter don’t want to have to invest in any new contraptions to make one of your recipes.

Thanks!

Very clever, very delightful, looks very delish!
