Great article - very nicely written. I really enjoy learning about the diversity in American Cuisine and am grateful to all who helped define it as a multi-cultural experience. That is what I love about the food at Thanksgiving - every family has their own variation yet it is still Thanksgiving (growing up with Greek heritage in Maine, there was always spanakopita and shrimp cocktail.) What could I serve the soup with, in order to fill up 2 teenagers? Its not a meal soup so what would pair nicely with it?
